A pair of refined bronze vases with japoniste taste by Jules Moigniez. Gilt bronze embossed decorations with floral subject and asymmetrical branches with two swallows resting on them. On the base a cartouche with a chanson by Pierre-Jean de Béranger (1780-1857): "Hirondelles, que l'espérance suit jusqu'à les brulants climats, sans doute vous quittez la France; de mon pays ne me parlez-vous pas?". Manufactured in France.
