Designer: Gastone Rinaldi
Gastone Rinaldi (1920 - 2006), in 1948, becomes head of the Paduan company, which operates in the production of metal furniture (RIMA). Thanks to his knowledge of metals, he creates a series of modern and avant-garde models. Through these avant-gardes, the passage from an artisanal production to an industrial production in the 1950s is marked, especially as regards the chairs. One of his most famous collaborations is that with Gio Ponti and their DU10 chair in plywood and iron rod, which will be seen in the rest of his sessions. In 1954 he won the "Compasso d'Oro" award thanks to the DU30 armchair, made of iron and foam rubber.Production: Thema
