Description
A mantel clock, chiseled and gilded bronze with a wide basement. Volutes with leaves on the feet and upper decoration with a panoply depicting a globe and some tools, among which the Neptune's trident. A garland contains a silver and chiseled second dial with painted hours and Roman numbers. The clock is surmounted by Christopher Columbus who is leaning on waves and stones. The brand 'Colomb' on the bronze inside recalls the figure on the clock. Manufactured in France, third quarter of the 19th century.
Product Condition:
Good condition. Wear consistent with age and use. Any damage or loss is displayed as completely as possible in the pictures. The mechanism has been revised in January 2018.
