A Neo-Gothic table clock made of gilded bronze. Rich ornament at the base depicting a part of a cathedral with columns and arc windows. On the sides, recesses with in the round statue. A female figure representing the allegory of Wisdom on the top. The bronze is characterized by opaque and shiny parts that create depth and foregrounds intensifying the sculptural skills of the artist. On the parchment held by the female figure there is the brand of the bronzesmith: "Blanch par La Roi". Manufactured in France, mid 19th century.
