Description : Scena d'assedio

Oil painting on canvas. The painting recalls - according to its style and construction - similar works by Carlo Coppola, Neapolitan painter of the Baroque period. He worked in his natal city and was Aniello Falcone's student (a painter of battle scenes). He became expert in the same subject, but painted also figures, glimpses and still life. The painting is presented in antique gilded frame. 17th century.
