Description : Paesaggio con scena di caccia

Oil painting on canvas. On the back of the structure there is the attribution to Pietro Neri Scacciati. The scene is divided by a twisted tree trunk in the middle and it depicts a bloodhound (to the right) hunting the brood of partridges hidden in a clearing (to the left). On the background there is a landscape with a rugged cliff. The production of the painter from Florence Pietro Neri Scacciati (1684-1749) - to whom the painting is attributed - was characterized mostly by paintings depicting groups of animals and birds meant for collections of zoological and ornithological portraits of the Medici Villa dell'Ambrogiana. Illustrative compositions to depict the different faunal species painted with vivacity and in landscapes. The painting is already restored and relined, presented in frame.
