Description : Gruppo di cinque acqueforti venete del XVIII secolo

Set of etchings. Four of them are based on Francesco Zuccarelli's works published by Wagner and engraved by Francesco Bartolozzi (1727-1815) and the fifth one is engraved by Volpato (Bartolozzi's student) and based on on Brand's drawing. One of the scenes refers to the mythological cycle of Endymion and Selene and the others depict pastoral subjects with the recurrent theme of mother and son. Each of them is accompanied by poetic verses. All the five items are presented in five identical beautiful frames of the 19th century.
