Description : Paesaggio con figure e architetture
Oil painting on canvas. The depicted landscape is characterized by some characters in the foreground and suggestive architectural buildings. This painting technique recalls the fantastic and mysterious settings of the French painter Didier Barra who stood out for his scenographies characterized by unreal ghostly cities with bizarre buildings, churches and towers. Barra was active in Naples where he worked together with the compatriot Francois Didier Nomé, with whom he shared the pseudonym 'Monsù Desiderio'. The painting is restored and relined, presented in frame gilded anew in the 19th century.
