Large oil painting on canvas. Signed by Rocchi in the lower left corner. The scene of great impact is composed of four figures in a field who seem to be a family. In the middle there is a woman holding a baby. She is wearing an apron with some bread in it and she is watching the man eating on his knees in front of her. To the right, a young boy is hoeing the ground. The scene recalls the maternity, especially for the position of the figures. The painting technique is clearly of the 20th century and was inaugurated in Milan by Margherita Sarfatti. It represents the need to go back to the painting of reality inspired by the classic style of poses. On the back of the canvas there is a hardly readable label of attendance to an exhibition. The painting shows lacks of color and it requires restoration. 20th century.
