Description : Maddalena penitente
Oil painting on copper. It depicts the repentant Magdalena with a suffering face while she is preying. The classical symbols of the Saint are all present: the book, the jar of ointment and her long hair. The painting was enclosed in a small antique aedicule of the late 1800s. Original label belonging to Antichità Beltrami di Milano of the early 1900s on the back. 18th century.
