Mixed technique on linen paper. Signed and dated 1993 in the lower right corner. Further signature on the back. Also known as Velasco, Vitali is a sculptor and painter from Bellano (Como) and Giancarlo Vitali's son. His painting technique is inspired by a rough, clear and at the same time delusional and dreamlike representation of natural and urban landscapes - especially his original lands and Sicily - focusing on the glimpses of Mediterranean harbors in opposition to the western metropolises. He made also many sculptures in Sicily. As illustrator, he is still working with the newspaper Corriere della Sera and he designs covers for many publishing houses and writers. The work is presented in frame.
