Oil painting on linen cardboard. Pair of pleasant paintings depicting glimpses of Venice. One depicts the Giudecca Canal with San Marco in the background, while the other one depicts the Venetian market. In frame. First half of the 20th century.

Artist: E. Zeno (1888-1956)

Eugenio Bonivento, also known as Zeno, is a painter born in Chioggia in 1880 and died in Milan in 1956. He trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice and was later a pupil of Guglielmo Ciardi, from whom he learned the vein poetic landscape, linked to the landscape tradition of the Venetian lagoon. He has participated in several editions of the Venice Biennale and his paintings are kept in numerous public and private collections.
