Oil on canvas. Signed in the bottom right corner. On the rear of the painting there is a further signature, title and date. There is also the trademark of the art gallery. A painting with a similar subject has been auctioned at Meeting Art with the title "Il mio studio in Valsassina", dated 1969. The artist was born in Saronno, he studied and worked in Milan; his work is stylistically close to the "Chiarismo Lombardo", a movement which developed in Milan around 1930's and is considered the first neo-expressionist movement. There was a general restoration of the Nineteenth Century style in contrast to the development of alternative artistic movement. It is framed.
