Description : Paesaggio bucolico con rovine
Oil on canvas. The view is focused on a herd of sheep and cows. The shepherd is guarding his animals while the young shepherdess is milking a cow. On the left there is a tall marble structure, the remains of an ancient temple. Behind this scene there is a broad landscape: there are houses and hills on the sides of a river. It is typical of the 18th century paintings to insert ruins in a natural landscape. It is a reference to the past glories. The painting has been restored and recanvased. It is framed.
