Oil on canvas. Signed and dated 1942 in the lower right. The work offers the portrait of a distinguished lady, intent is probably to read; evocative of the atmosphere of lights and shadows. Enzo Moioli da Olcio was the Italian painter, trained at the Academy of Brera, known primarily as a portraitist; among his works include the portraits of numerous prominent personalities of the Church and of the nobility, among which we remember Pope John XXIII, Karol Wojtyla, cardinal of Krakow, Cardinal Montini, Umberto of Savoy, prince of Piedmont and his wife. He was the author also of works of sacred art, landscapes and portraits of common people:the portrait. The work is presented in a contemporary frame.
