Ink on paper. Signed and dated in November 1958. At the back there is written that attributes the ownership of the work to Lunella Romagnoni, the wife of the artist, which also appears in the signature Lunella. Bepi Romagnoni, a young milanese artist who died tragically at a young age, was a leader of the pictorial movement of the existential realism that was inspired by the philosophy of Kierkegaard, Camus, Sartre: we find that inspiration in the themes chosen at the subject of his works - the emptiness, the lack of communication between the characters, the loneliness and the differences between social classes-both those of the original and subsequent collages. It was always up to date vis-à-vis the international contemporary art scene (such as the Cobra group and the informal committee) and he was also interested in the painting muralist the mexican José Clemente Orozco, beginning to suffer in its production of strong accents espressionistici, and then, from the late '50 and early '60's, the surrealist influences, populating his painting of signs, graphics, and sometimes leading to images phytomorphic and zoomorphic. The proposed work belongs to this period. It is presented in frame double glass.
