Gouaches on paper. Signed on the front. Each drawing has the stamp of Erté on the back, name of the serie to which they belong, along with title and date of making, between 1953 and 1954. Three of them belong to the serie "Les Nouvelles", and in particular to "La nouvelle Calédonie": "Danseirs" N12421; "Deuxième mannequin", N.12418; "Mannequin" N.12603. The forth drawing shows just N.12374 and the title "Le corbeau volant imiter l'Aigle" ( the raven flies imitatign the eagle). these are sofisticated and vivid models of the drawings of the French-born Russian artist Romain de Tirtoff ( the pseudonym Ertè comes from the initials of his name). He was draftsman and scenographer, he worked for the parisian tailor Poiret, he collaborated to the making of Harper' Bazaar, was the author of drawn curtain, scenography and costumes for musical commedies in France and Usa and also for movies. Is considerated one of the major representatives of Art Decò. The four art pieces come alog with frame and front and rear glass.
