Oil on canvas. German School. Intense portrait of a young woman, sitting with her back turned, but rotated to look at the viewer; the room she is in is bare, a part from the corner of a painting on the wall in front of which the woman is sitting. Because of the subject and the brushwork, the painting is very close to a piece signed by Carl Kunst (1884-1912), and comes from the same private collection. Presented in a coeval treated frame.
