Oil on canvas. North-European School. Not identifiable signature and date 1842 on the lower left corner. WIde romantic landscape: on the left, in the frontground , shepherds are resting at the wood's edge with their grazing animals; on the right the landscape opens up surmounted by a stormy sky, dark and gloomy, even if in the background a sunbeam creates plays of lights. The restored painting is displayed in a gilded frame.
