Oil on canvas. Copy of the famous self-portrait made by Rembrandt in 1633-34 today preserved at the Uffizi Gallery in Florence. Between the eighty self-portraits that the famous Flemich painter made, this one was realized in amsterdam at the age of 28: the artist is wearing a rich brown velvet dress embellished with an heavy chain; he's waring a slouchy hat over his blond curls. The copy in question, already restored and repaired, comes along with a coeval frame.
