Oil on plywood. Signed G.chini on the lower right corner. Another signature with inscription to " Villani" on the back. Galilleo Chini , born in Florance where he based his life and work, was a versatile artist that dealt with all the aspects of art and is considerated on of the main artist of the Italian Liberty. Grat decorator, potter, illustrator, scenographer, tower planner, painter with a strong personality that ranges from Symbolism to Divisionism until a dark experssionist final period. He decorated important pubblic and private buildings icluding the interior of the new Throne palece in Bangkok. He took parto to the main international expositions ( London, Bruxelles, Gand St. Pietroburgo) and to the venetian Bienalle and roman Quadriennale. The painting in question represents a glimps of a florentine village to which he was related. Comes with frame.
