Additional Information

Notes historical bibliographic

The two marble floors were built in Florence in the second quarter of the nineteenth century, as evidenced by the workmanship of the materials, as well as the taste of the leaf motif decorating the bronze brow. The body is in white marble, covered with slabs of Medici breccia placed mirror-like and side by side, in such a way that the veins of the stone create decorative mirror effects. The two floors were created to be placed on a pair of baroque consoles to replace the older ones, to create a furnishing with a strong scenographic impact.
