Description : Natura morta con aragosta
Oil on canvas. The painting comes with an authentic evaluation photo of the Milan Court from 1970s-1980s that attributes it to a Duch painter of the early 18th century, probably Tomas Smith (1680-1750). The sober and bare composition is divided into two rather sharp horizontal bands, the upper one given by the dark and empty background, the lower one created by the variegated white of the top, which evokes the marble of an altar; in the center, a connecting element between the two parts, the still life, composed of a few elements, the lobster, a bread, a glass, a flask. There are several patches in the back. The painting is presented in style frame.
