Description : Ritratto femminile nello studio

Oil painting on canvas. Signed A. Guzzi lower right. On the back there is the detailed title "In the studio of the painter Giuseppe Galli my teacher" and a dedication to a friend, signed in full by Angela Lo Cascio Guzzi. The suggestion of the portrait, executed in broad brushstrokes and with soft edges, lies in the contrast between the woman's yellow dress and the whole surrounding dark and shadowy atmosphere, in which just a few objects can be glimpsed. The painting is presented in a contemporary frame.
