Alfredo Barbini (Murano, 1912 - Murano, February 13, 2007) was an Italian glassmaker. As a young master glassmaker he worked for the Zecchin & Martinuzzi furnace (managed between 1932 and 1934 by Francesco Zecchin and Napoleone Martinuzzi); he later became artistic director of the Gino Cenedese glassworks, for which he created numerous glass statues and the so-called Aquariums, i.e. «blocks of colorless glass which incorporated highly colored elements of the previously formed marine flora and fauna». With Cenedese he took part in the Venice Biennale in 1948. The recession of Cenedese led him in 1950 to founding his own glassworks, in which he was assisted by his sons Oceania and Flavio. The glassworks specialized in the processing of solid glass, submerged glass and starting from the seventies of murrina and thin blown glass. He also participated in the Venice Biennials in 1950, 1954, 1960, 1962 and 1968. He died in Murano in 2007, at the age of 94.

Alfredo Barbini, as a young man, was a master glassmaker for the Zecchin and Martinuzzi furnace, and later became the artistic director of the Gino Cenedese glass factory, for which he created a large number of glass statues (Aquariums). In 1950 he founded his glassworks, which specialized in the processing of solid glass, submerged glass and thin blown glass. He participated in the Venice biennials for four years (1950, 1954, 1960 and 1968).
