Engraving, taken from the work created by Adam Frans van der Meulen in 1677. The Flemish artist, specialized in battle scenes, was a painter at the court of the Sun King, whose victories he painted, following him on the field, as specified by the inscription lower left. This work celebrates the conquest of the city of Cambrai, considered difficult to conquer. The engraving by Robert Bonnart was made a few years later, in 1686. In good condition, the engraving is presented in a style frame.
