Oil painting on canvas. Signed lower right. The Lecco artist Giuseppe Valsecchi, despite having shared the human and social commitment of the Milanese movement of Corrente (to which artists such as Guttuso, Treccani, Sassu adhered), did not neglect a more highly evocative and intimate vein that is captured both in the production of portraits and landscapes, inspired by the views from the windows of his homes. This sweet portrait of a child is also permeated with this intimate atmosphere, ready for school with his basket and apron. The work is presented in a style frame.
