Description : Composizione di riquadri astratti
Acrylic on canvas. It is a composition, made after production, of twelve square canvases (30 x 30 cm), each of which bears the date of realization (years 2002-2003), the serial number and the title on the back; most of them are entitled "Scripture", playing on the proposed letter and word games. Paolo Barrile, a behavioral environmentalist artist, is distinguished by a strongly material painting, which he uses to convey messages with a strong ecological and environmental impact; in particular he is the artist of the Earth Message and Amplified Art, in which he expresses his "ecological madness" on a planetary scale. The "Scripture" series belongs to his period of writing and graffiti (1993-2005): in these works, Barrile starts from the most beautiful tags he finds on the street, written straight away, and takes them up with love, arranging them with his colors and its compositional balances, with the aim of saving and passing on to posterity the grafites with which young people fill the walls of the cities. The twelve canvases can be dismantled and presented in different re-compositions.
