Oil on pressed cardboard. Signed lower left. On the back further signature in pencil, with the title and label with numbering. Beautiful glimpse of Macugnana, the mountain locality of the Ossola Valley where the painter lived until his death and which he often depicted in his works. Born in Mantua, Moretti Foggia trained at the Brera Academy as a pupil of Cesare Tallone and Mosè bianchi. Landscape and portrait painter he painted in oil, tempera, watercolor and in fresco. His paintings are present in the Quirinale collection and in public and private galleries in Italy, Switzerland, the United States and Latin America. Tireless traveler, he spent a long time in the East where he carried out numerous studies of costumes and landscapes exhibited in London, Paris and Brussels. He participated in various national and international group exhibitions, between 1922 and 1954 he gave life to 10 personal with great success with audiences and critics. The work is presented in a contemporary frame.

His paintings are present in the Quirinale collection and in public and private galleries in Italy, Switzerland, the United States and Latin America. A tireless traveller, he stayed for a long time in the East where he carried out numerous studies of costumes and landscapes exhibited in London, Paris and Brussels. He participated in various national and international group exhibitions and between 1922 and 1954 he gave life to 10 solo exhibitions with great success among the public and critics. When he didn't travel, he always chose to live in Macugnaga, the small town in the Ossola Valley that he portrayed in many of his landscapes and where he died in 1954.
