Acrylics on board. Signed and dated on the back. Accompanied by authentication on autographed photo of the author, with stamp of the Verlato Gallery in Milan. The work presented here is part of the rich series of works called by the artist Cristalli, due to the reference to the geometries of these minerals, which he considers containers of energy and light. On a three-dimensionally shaped board with asymmetrical protruding points, recalling the structure of a crystal, Jori paints elements that emerge from the background, with chromatic choices that all refer to the same range but with different shades, to emulate the reflections of light. The work comes from an important Milanese private collection.

Additional Information
Artist: Marcello Jori (1951)
Originally from Merano, Marcello Jori started his work in Bologna in the early 1970s, using photography, painting and writing. Since the beginning of his activity, he pursues a project of total art. Starting from the 1980s, after a period dedicated to painted writings that will make words a recurring sign throughout his career, he begins the production of Crystals, precious gems, containers of energy and light, geometries that will lead him to repaint the world following the rules of his style. He participates in three Venice Biennials, the Paris Biennale, two Rome Quadrennials. He holds exhibitions in national and international galleries and museums. From the end of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, Jori also began to try his hand at literary production (in 1996 he published, with texts by Stefano Benni and Alessandro Mendini, the volume "The wonderful city of extraordinary artists", an ambitious project in which construction began conceptual and pictorial of a city conceived to host and celebrate special inhabitants: contemporary artists destined, according to Jori, to immortality), in the musical one, in the design (for Alessi), in the scenography (in particular by creating in 1995 for Vasco Rossi a imposing scenography, a painted city of 20 meters by 70, for "Rock under the siege", concert held at the San Siro stadium in Milan).
