The work belongs to the 1960s production of Amilcare Rambelli, a period in which the Milanese artist, painter, illustrator but above all sculptor, turns his production towards the outside, in search of an involvement of the environmental space in the relationship between elements of organic systems and structures of mechanical systems: a design sequence is born that preludes in his sculptures to complex polymaterial assemblages in which steel, copper, bronze, aluminum, Plexiglas, drawing fragments and films find unprecedented balances. These are works that tend towards a geometric setting, technically innovative and suggestive, which attack the space in every direction with intense dynamism, testifying the search for a consonance between the artist and his own time. In the paintings of this period, to which the work presented here also belongs, Rambelli transposes on paper or canvas the same projects made as a sculptor. The work is framed.

Mixed media on wood. Signed and dated on the back. Born in Magenta, Giovanni Sesia does not define himself as a painter or even a sculptor or photographer, but an "artist". He attended the Brera Academy in Milan and approached painting with paintings with a strong sign and bright colors. After an initial artistic research in abstractionism and the discovery of photography as a technical means to combine with pictorial expressiveness, at the end of the nineties Giovanni Sesia discovers an entire photographic archive of an abandoned psychiatric hospital: fascinated by old photographs, which portray faces and forgotten places, the artist enlarges and re-elaborates them by superimposing backgrounds, pictorial retouches and calligraphic inserts, investigating the theme of madness and bringing to light existences marked by pain and disease, to subtract them from the passage of time and oblivion. The sense of tradition, the warm colors of the earth, browns, ocher and rust, like the writings made with an almost illegible handwriting, become the personal and unmistakable traits even in the works that represent different themes, such as domestic objects, the landscapes, the city, all with a common matrix, the human being and the value of memory. Female Face 2001

Oil painting on canvas. Dated and signed on the back. Born in Seregno, Danilo Martinis was trained with Osvaldo Minotti. Painter and designer, he has furnished prestigious residences all over the world, his works are particularly appreciated in the United Arab Emirates and in Russia. He loves to express his thoughts through graphic-figurative images rendered through geometric effects and chromatic games, using mainly female figures as interpreters. In this work he proposes a close-up of a female face, enhancing its expressiveness through the play of colors in the ranges of yellow.

It is a work carried out with the "knife" technique by the well-known master of Anagni (FR) Carlo Turri: combining the Renaissance style with the taste and creativity of high contemporary craftsmanship, he has created his works entirely by hand, using techniques of the fifteenth century and paying particular attention to chromatic research and three-dimensionality. Its tradition has been continued by his daughter Rita who, in the Anagni laboratory, applies classical and modern ornamental motifs not only on paintings but also on boiserie, furnishing and design elements. Vittorio Maria di Carlo was born in San Marco in Lamis, in the Gargano. He was recognized as a young emerging artist at the time of the "New Figuration" and has enjoyed considerable success in numerous collective and personal exhibitions. Later, he settled in Milan, alternating his Lombard residence with periods spent in Manila. The title is also expressed on the reverse, by punching in the center. "Eugenio Sgaravatti was born in Rome. He attended schools in Italy, Switzerland, Holland and England. The passion for traveling led him to a hundred different countries, deepening his humanistic knowledge. The large amount of messages received in his travels stimulate his vocation and push the artist to devote himself exclusively to painting. He works in his studio in the capital at Villa Iris in Via Appia Antica 107. He paints abstract compositions and landscapes with some figurative jolts. His works contain elements of repetitiveness, which reflect the obsessive and serial character of contemporary life. Painting on stone. Signed Igor And on the back. The stone had been turned into a vivid and bizarre face: on one side there is another decoration of a landscape with flowers. Igor Andreev was born in 1952 in Leningrad; he escaped from Soviet Union in 1972 and moved to Canada where he decided to dedicate his life to art. In 1981 he moved to Paris where he still works and lives. In his art works that are defined as Neo-Pop Art he uses simple shapes and materials to create a positive, joyful anf colorful world.

Attracted by color, he first approached landscape painting, to then devote himself to black and white. Under the guidance of A. De Carolis, he perfected himself in all reproduction techniques, from lithography to copper engraving, finding his preferred means of expression in woodcut. He was also an illustrator. Work in frame.
