Oil on plywood. Signed lower left. Further signature and title on the back. Originally from the province of Varese, Carlo Aimetti devoted himself mainly to the landscape, painting gardens, parks, mountains, marinas and lakes with his personal technique. In particular, we recall his production dedicated to the landscapes of his native Ceresio Valley and the Intelvi Valley. The painting is presented in a contemporary frame.

Born in Bisuschio, in the province of Varese, in 1901, Carlo Aimetti was a pupil of Enrico Felisari. Landscape painter, he devoted himself to portraying mountains, lakes, valleys, but also gardens and parks, with his own technique, using oil but also pastel with particular effects. . He participated in several group exhibitions in the galleries of Milan, exhibited at the Arengario in Monza and in galleries of various Italian cities. He lived and died in Milan in 1980.
