Description
The Casino La Minerva was founded in Belluno in a building now known as Palazzo Minerva, constructed in the 18th century as the headquarters of a cultural academy. It was not a public place, but a private club where members could devote themselves to reading, conversation, and board games (not gambling). The 1829 bylaws served to govern the new club before its opening in 1830. The title page states that these bylaws were "read and accepted in the Reduction of August 16, 1829, and approved by government decree no. 41472-6488 of November 20, 1829." The attached documents are payment reminders and notices of members' meetings.
