P. Hiquily, sculpteur influencé par Germaine Richier et Muller, a passé cinq années à l'académie de l'Ecole des beaux-arts (1947-1951). Dans les années 1960, il se fait connaître à Paris et à New York. Dans son oeuvre qui se situe au confluent du surréalisme et du nouveau réalisme, il utilise le cuivre, le fer, la tôle et le laiton pour créer de curieuses figures anthropomorphes.
