Description
Segnale Radio was a weekly magazine linked to the Italian Radio Auditions Agency (EIAR) that documented radio programming and radio-related activities in 1944-1945. Issues were published throughout the war and covered programs, news, and radio-related content. During the most intense phase of the conflict and after the armistice, with Italy divided between the South liberated by the Allies and the North controlled by the Italian Social Republic (RSI), Segnale Radio also took on a strong regime propaganda function, with news presented in a way that supported the fascist and German cause. Volume 1944 contains 18 issues from Year I (1944) and 7 issues from Year II (1945); volume 1945 contains 10 issues from no. 8 to no. 17 from Year II (1945). Inside we find numerous drawings and black and white photographs.
