Additional Information
Artist: Vincenzo Migliaro (1858-1938)
Born in Naples in 1858, Vincenzo Migliaro, after learning the art of carving at the courses of the Neapolitan Central Workers' Society and attending the studio of Stanislao Lista, enrolled in the Institute of Fine Arts in Naples in 1875, where he studied Domenico Morelli, among others. In 1877, he made a brief trip to Paris, where he stopped to study the works exhibited at the Louvre. However, Naples, with its vibrant popular life, was the artist's main source of inspiration: the works he exhibited at national (Turin, 1880, 1884, and 1898) and international exhibitions (including Barcelona, where he won the silver medal in 1911) cemented his reputation as a keen observer of Neapolitan reality. In the following decade, he was called upon, along with other painters, including Vincenzo Irolli, to decorate the Caffè Gambrinus. He participated in the Venice International Art Exhibitions from 1901 to 1928, and in 1927 the Galleria Pesaro in Milan dedicated an exhibition to him, showcasing his works alongside those of Vincenzo Caprile and Vincenzo Gemito, both Neapolitans. Migliaro died in Naples in 1938.Age:

Technical specification: Watercolor
