Majolica plate with polychrome Raphaelesque decoration, featuring a large fruit vase in the center supported by a column with a cartouche and surrounded by mythological figures. The plate bears a handwritten date on the back placing it 1920 and two handwritten letters "G and P" likely the initials of the unidentified ceramist. Central Italy, Tuscany-Marche area.

Italy, Late XIX Century

Oval majolica tray with shaped edge and polychrome Raphaelesque decoration with foliage and fantastic animals. Two dragons facing each other frame the Florentine lily, taking up a motif that is also quite well known in Deruta majolica. The blue mark on the back of the plate traces it back to the Bonato di Angarano manufacture (Archive of ceramic marks letter B).
