1950s Shaped Mirror

Oil on canvas. Central Italian School, 18th century. Large boar hunting scene, with knights, servants, and dogs scattered across the wooded countryside. Notable is the presence in the left foreground of a Moorish assistant, restraining one of the dogs and carrying a rifle on his shoulder. The painting has been restored and relined in the past. It is presented in a contemporary antique frame.

Dining table with stained beech wood frame and oval Formica top. In good condition.

Elegant 20th-century Italian-made wall-mounted console table made of stained beech wood with a rounded top, a small drawer, and three curved legs. This piece was restored in our workshop.

Oil on panel. 18th-century Northern European School. The horizontally arranged scene depicts the myth of Orpheus, son of Apollo, who received a lyre from his father with which he tamed wild animals, moved rocks, and bent trees. The tale is known from Virgil's Georgics and Ovid's Metamorphoses: a symbol of the civilizing power of art, it is a popular subject in European art. Orpheus is depicted in the center, sitting on a rock among trees, playing the lyre. On the sides are numerous animals of various breeds coming toward him, from natural environments near and far, including exotic animals (an elf, lions, a llama, etc.), and, on the right edge, a fantastical beast, the unicorn. In the background is a stream with a city on the shore; on the left, on the hill, a small temple, probably dedicated to the god Apollo. The painting has been restored in the past. It is presented in a period gilded frame.

Oil on canvas. In a verdant countryside with a tranquil stream flowing by, several figures of common people move about: in the foreground, the washerwoman rests on the ground, exchanging a few words with the woman who has come to draw water with her young daughter; further away, beyond the stream, a shepherd with his flock of grazing sheep and a herdsman with his cows. The scene evokes a peaceful and serene life, marked by work immersed in nature. The painting has been restored and relined in the past, but currently requires cleaning. It is presented in a period frame.

Male Portrait

Oil on canvas. The man portrayed wears a severe black suit, albeit trimmed with white cuffs and collar, and holds a letter resting on other tomes; he could be a prelate or a jurist. The work has been attributed to John Greenhill, a Salisbury painter who worked in London from 1662 onwards, successfully dedicating himself to portraiture, receiving commissions particularly from actors, playwrights, and men of letters. The painting, which has been restored and relined in the past, is presented in a period frame.

Chandelier with blown glass structure and diffuser, holds 3 E27 bulbs. Good condition.

Oil on canvas. A beautiful twentieth-century copy of Canaletto's work, created around 1736. The painting is in a private collection but is known for its printed reproductions, particularly in Visentini's series of etchings from 1742. The view depicts the Venetian town of the same name, with the church of San Salvador on the left and the Scuola Grande di San Teodoro in the center. Numerous figures, elegant gentlemen strolling, commoners, and artisans intent on their work, enliven the scene. The work, much larger than the original, has a striking decorative and scenographic impact. It is presented in a period frame.

Height-adjustable floor lamp. Made of brass with a plastic-coated fabric shade, it takes one E27 bulb. Good condition.

Armchair, foam padding, velvet upholstery, (not original from the period) enameled metal legs and brass tips. Very good condition, completely restored.

Writing desk with drawers under the top, solid beech wood stained and mahogany veneer, top covered in formica. Completely restored.
