Copy in very good condition, in a browned, unmarked hardback slipcase with traces of dust. Paperback contained within a hardback jacket with an Italian title on the spine, traces of dust and minimal foxing inside. Paperback with folded paper dust jacket with minimal signs of wear. Irregular edges. Papers in excellent condition, with slight margins, and slightly irregular edges. Text in Spanish.

Sumario is Neruda's first book printed by Tallone, who would later become a great friend of the poet. The volume was later reprinted by Editorial Losada of Buenos Aires in June 1964. Our copy is number XL (Van Gelder Zonen). We read in the colophon: "These veins of unpublished and autobiographical poems by Pablo Neruda were compiled by hand with the typologies written by Alberto Tallone and captured by Charles Malin in Paris. They have made 300 examples as divided: 15 in Japanese paper Kaji numbered in Roman figures from I to XV; 50 in Verjurado Van paper Gelder Zonen, numbered from XVI to LXV and 235 examples in paper of the Magnani manufactures of Pescia, numbered from 1 to 235 in Arabic numerals.
