Description
This volume, whose hand-typesetting began on June 14, 1837, the one hundred and fiftieth anniversary of Leopardi's death, was printed in twelve copies on Japan Gampi Vellum and three hundred and thirty on ivory vellum by Cartiere Magnani in Pescia. The Caslon Elzévir round type used in this volume was set in Paris in 1834 for the Tipografia Digione di Maurice Darantiere. It was released from the presses in March of 1838 in Alpignano, marking the twentieth anniversary of Alberto Tallone's death. Our copy is no. 200.
