Las dcadas en las que se discuti la presencia espaola en tierras americanas y de quienes con crudeza relatan lo sucedido y defienden a los naturales de los abusos de encomenderos y oficiales reales y hablan de la naturaleza jurdica del indgena y de la importancia por definir las principales instituciones de Nueva Espaa, se conoce como el periodo virreinal y se comprende en este volumen entre los aos de 1542 a 1586. / This is a work of important historical value for the studious of colonial Mexico. It is a facsimile reproduction of its first edition published in 1877 by the Ministry of Economic Development from Madrid. It includes a selection of testimonies which show an important part of our juridical culture, in the voice of those who built the destiny of New Spain, it analyzes the years 1532 to 1583. The decades in which the Spanish presence in American territory was discussed, is known as the viceregal period and are studied in this volume from 1542 to 1586.
