Description:
Sideboard with a semi-circular front. Supported by four truncated pyramid shaped uprights with vase-shaped feet, it has a narrow under the top drawer in the middle part, while there are two more thin drawers on the sides, under which there are two larger service drawers, on the corners there are two decorated doors that imitate the front of the drawers. Mahogany with mahogany feather banded veneer in the front, with maple and ebony threading, a carved maple reserve decorates the uprights; the drawers and the doors are enriched with an ebony thread on the edges, as well as the border of the mahogany head of the top; the top is a single mahogany board. The handles are gilded bronze pendants with a central rosette. On the back of the top there are inserts for the fastening of the brass beams that were supposed to hold the lights and other service equipment.

Giorgio III (1750-1810):
Rientra nel periodo definito "Georgiano". Con questo termine si designa l'attività stilistica svoltasi in Inghilterra tra il 1714 e il 1830 e comprendente i regni di Giorgio I, Giorgio II, Giorgio III e Giorgio IV. Essa è caratterizzata, ai suoi esordi, da un atteggiamento di reazione al barocco. Caratteristiche e distinzioni precise di questo stile non sono nettamente individuabili nel mobilio creato in Inghilterra nel Settecento. Nella prima metà di tale secolo, l'ebanisteria e i prodotti delle varie categorie d'arte applicata inglese risentirono dei continui mutamenti del gusto e manifestarono, nella diversità di tendenze e di influenze, l'incertezza di un preciso orientamento stilistico. A operare scelte ben definite intervennero nella seconda metà del Settecento la sensibilità e l'eccezionale ingegno di quattro forti personalità, destinate a guidare il gusto e il costume inglesi dell'epoca: Th. Chippendale, R. Adam, G. Hepplewhite e Th. Sheraton.
