Milan, Third Quarter of the XVIII Century

Carved and lacquered fireplace with a painted canvas with a still life in the center and a mirror underneath. The whole surface is carved with rocaille motifs called "a pel de rava"according to the Milanese taste. Milan third quarter of the eighteenth century.

Horse, one of nine sculptures depicting animals of different species, entirely covered in fur; each animal rests on a wooden base, three of which have a label underneath which indicates the name of the author, Fratin, naturalist. The animals represented are quadrupedal mammals: bison, bovine, cow suckling the calf, horse, elk, ibex, tiger, lion, bear.

Triptych clock in gilded bronze and marble. The marble temple clock has gilt bronze decorations with cornucopias, laurel wreaths and panoply at the top. Enamelled metal display with hours in Arabic numerals enclosed in a gilt bronze wreath and protected by a lid with curved glass. Mechanism marked Japy Freres & C.ie Medaille d'Honneur. Cup-shaped candelabra in marble and bronze with animal beak handles.

Bronze duck depicted resting on one leg on a base in the shape of a tree trunk. Clenched in its beak it holds a lotus leaf with a tip that served as a candlestick, while the part at the opening on the back had the function of burning incense.

Triptych clock in gilded and chiseled bronze. The clock has a wide base with leaf scroll decorations and finely engraved plant motifs on which rests the clock case adorned with flower garlands closed with ribbon. At the top, a cup-shaped vase with a floral composition. Enamelled metal display with hours in Roman numerals and minutes in Arabic numerals protected by a lid with curved glass. The hands are in finely pierced gilt bronze. The mechanism is marked Japy Fils 1855. The pair of gilded and chiseled bronze candelabra with five flames measure a height of 55 centimeters.

Soapstone sculpture depicting a Guanyin with a basket of flowers. Finely carved with beautiful workmanship of the drapery and attention to detail. Republic period.
