Questo non è un libro solo sullo Stato islamico. Il progetto di al-Baghdadi è infatti anche quello di estendere i confini di un neo-Califfato all'intera comunità sunnita oltre il mondo arabo e le conflittuali aree asiatiche appaiono un terreno ideale. Il caso afgano, la guerra sempre sotto traccia tra India e Pakistan, il revivalismo islamico presente in Caucaso e in Asia centrale, come nelle provincie meridionali della Thailandia o nel Sud filippino segnato dal contrasto tra governo e comunità musulmane; nell'arcipelago indonesiano, che è la realtà musulmana più popolosa del pianeta, come nel dramma dei rohingya, cacciati dal Myanmar in Bangladesh. Al di là del progetto del Califfo, ci si chiede perché e con quali strumenti il messaggio ha potuto funzionare, qual è il contesto e quale l'entità del contrasto con al-Qaeda per il primato del jihad. Un libro che si chiede cosa potrà restare del messaggio di al?Baghdadi, anche dopo la caduta di Raqqa, in paesi così distanti dalla cultura mediorientale; cosa ha spinto un giovane di Giacarta, di Dacca o del Xinjang a scegliere la spada del Califfo?

Central plate gilded internally with gold leaf, pendants and necklaces in glass. To be electrified because the chandelier was designed for candle lighting. It has a small chip on a candle holder. Trame di Vita 2011

Acrylic on wood and collage of various materials. On the back, under the protective cardboard, there is an artist's label with the signature and the title of the work. Clara Bartolini, a multifaceted artist (she has tried her hand at painting, photography, collage, sculpture, assembly, always looking for new materials and new creative paths, but also with poetry, scenography, she is a stylist) said of this series of her works called Trame: "I have always worked with thread, a very representative symbolic element, it assures me of the return, it shows me the paths already taken, it keeps alive the thought on what is important in my life. Ariadne's thread, the fil rouge, the thread of the speech and, why not, mending the tear, putting a patch on it and much more. Thread (I have also been a stylist) has always had a great importance in my life. It often appears in my works, in cotton, copper, brass, iron, nylon. In order not to lose the thread...". The work is presented in a frame.

Flat model slippers, with white leather weave, recalling the logo of the American designer. The item is in very good condition, probably worn a few times. The size indicated is 9.5 American, which should correspond to 40, but with a reduced fit.
