England, Mid XIX Century

English-made mahogany sail table from the mid-19th century, featuring an oval top veneered in walnut and burl walnut. The top is richly inlaid with floral arrangements and scrolls in various woods, arranged both centrally and along the frame. The turned and carved central leg extends onto four curved carved feet, culminating in a curl. Small defects in the top are visible, but they do not detract from the overall elegance of the piece. This table represents a fine example of Victorian-era English craftsmanship, ideal for enhancing classic settings with a touch of refined historical style.
