Description
Tower clock from the late 19th century, called "morbier". It is made of fir painted in fake wood with floral designs, with the typical mandolin shape, the clock has the typical dial surmounted by a decorative motif made of embossed and gilded sheet metal, in this case, depicting a hunter with a dog. The face is enameled with the hours in Roman numerals, contemporary pendulum and weights.

Watch in good condition, shows small signs of wear. Mechanism not tested, requires the intervention of an expert to overhaul all its parts. Soft coniferous wood, used for rustic furniture or to build the chest, that is the structure, of furniture then veneered in more precious woods. It has been used since ancient times, its most valuable use is, in the Spruce variant, in the inlays of French antique furniture of the '700 . The spruce, more typical of northern Europe, in Italy grows mainly in the Eastern Alps at altitudes above 1300 m.
