Beech Conversation Chair - France Last Quarter 18th Century

Milan, late 19th century

A Neoclassical late 18th Century lacquered wood wall table with truncated pyramid legs and carved shelves. Frames decorated with leaves, lion head, oak leaves roses. Macchiavecchia marble top. Gilded and lacquered. Manufactured in Northern Italy (Lombardia).

Florence, Mid XVIII Century

Baroque console in carved and gilded wood with top in Siena's marble, Florence, mid-18th century. Supported by four wavy legs connected to each other by a central crosspiece, the console is decorated with curl carvings, "C" shaped volutes and rocaille, leafy and floral elements, the latter placed in the band under the top. Restorations on the floor.

18th Century / 1701 - 1800

Venetian baroque console supported by wavy legs, the apron on the front and sides is carved with characteristic rocaille motifs. In walnut, the shaped top is in alabaster with a border in black marble and white Botticino.

Emilia Romagna, Late XVIII Century

Neoclassical table in poplar with a square section, completely veneered. Top with inlay with a geometric score made of olive and carob borders, crossed to form four small inlaid rosettes, the reserves are veneered in quadripartite walnut, the fillets that outline the borders are in maple and black-stained chestnut. The same motifs decorate the bands while the legs, truncated-conical, are veneered in olive wood. Small missing parts. Emilia, last quarter of the 18th century.

Italy Last Quarter XVIII Century

Small table attributable to the workshop of Giuseppe Colombo known as Mortarino. Four elegantly turned and tapered walnut legs support a high band with a drawer, subtended by small brackets with an inlaid rosette; the entire surface is veneered in walnut and enriched with rosewood fillets with boxwood inlays, on the quadripartite walnut top is an inlaid rosette with a panoply of musical instruments and score. A secret spring behind the drawer unlocks the catch that allows the top to rotate and open; in the center of the double top is another inlaid rosette with a military panoply. Interior in fir, the piece of furniture bears an old label from the antique dealer "AGG Subert". The color of the wood, the type of fillets and the elegantly crafted panoplies with burin embroidery present close assonances with the two chests of drawers of Palazzo d'Arcò and with the flap with the arms of the Barbiano di Belgioioso.
