Description
Oil on canvas attributed to Andrea Markò. The painting lacks the definition optics and diligent that characterizes the very first part of the artist's work; but justifies the acquired freedom of discussion and practice (since 1884) of painting from life in the Tuscan countryside, begun with the school of frequentation Staggia and the resulting knowledge and contact with the innovative mode of Serafino De Tivoli. On the other hand there's a classicist perceptible root in shades of pink. Coeval frame mounted without glass. "A.M." signed and dated in the lower left corner.
