England, Late XVIII Century

Walnut drop-leaf chest with filleting and a central maple inlaid vase. Front with four drawers, the first, smaller one, flanked by two shelf-supporting pulls for the drop-leaf door. Internal cabinet with open compartments and drawers, leather insert on the top. Bracket feet, brass escutcheons, and partially replaced handles in worked and gilded sheet metal, one of which is damaged. Fir interior and back. England, late 18th century.

Italy, Mid XIX Century

Small cherry centerpiece drop-leaf cabinet, also finished on the back. Drop-leaf and pull-out paneled door, internal cabinet with open compartment, central drawer with three drawers above it, blue cloth insert on the top. Three drawers with wooden handles and knobs on the front, casters on the base. Oak interior. Italy, mid-19th century.

18th Century / 1701 - 1800

Piedmontese drop-leaf secretaire supported by shelf shaped feet; it has 3 frontal drawers surmounted by a folding door that hides drawers and a central open compartment. Veneered wood with Bois de violette threads, poplar interiors and walnut internal compartments.

Italy, XIX Century

Ebonized mahogany secretaire. Front richly inlaid with mother-of-pearl brass sheet, pairs of mirrored dragons surrounded by scrolls and floral and leafy compositions, festoons, and central vases. Drawer in the band below the top, drop-down door concealing a cabinet with open compartments in mahogany burl and three additional drawers below. Slightly projecting Doric column uprights, onion-shaped feet. Gray marble top. Italy, 19th century.

Third Quarter XVIII Century

Secrétaire supported by wavy feet, on the front it has two doors surmounted by an opening flap door concealing a cabinet with large central compartment and side drawers; there is a drawer in the undertop band. Walnut interior, it is entirely veneered with mahogany reserves and edging in bois de violette and bois de rose, the cabinet is entirely veneered in bois de rose; marble top. It needs restorations.

Walnut drop-leaf, walnut burl, and mahogany trim. Front with four drawers, the first two smaller and side by side, central drop-leaf door concealing a four-drawer cabinet with a central door. Darkened bracket feet and base molding, oak back, replaced escutcheons and handles. Restored. Italy, late 18th century.

Walnut and burr walnut drop-leaf chest. Three drawers front surmounted by a drop-leaf door, supported by pull-out drawers, concealing an internal cabinet with open compartments and a sliding central shelf. Bracket feet, poplar interior. Central Italy, 18th century.

Central Italy, XVII Century

Baroque walnut and crotchet chest of drawers with maple and olive wood trim. Three-drawer curved front, drop-leaf upper door, four-drawer internal cabinet, and central open compartment with sliding shelf underneath, concealing secret internal drawers. Gilded bronze keyholes, one of which is missing, bracket feet, fir interior and back. Central Italy, 17th century.

Veneto, Mid XVIII Century

A late Baroque walnut and walnut crotchet drop-leaf chest with rosewood trim. The curved front features three drawers, while the upper drop-leaf door features an internal cabinet with two drawers surmounted by open compartments. The central door has a sliding shelf underneath, concealing secret drawers. The handles and escutcheons are chiseled and gilded bronze, while the feet and apron are curved and carved. Veneto, mid-18th century.

Mahogany trumeau. Stand with beveled glass door and molded top, three height-adjustable shelves inside. Central drop-down door supported by pull-out drawers, leather insert on the interior shelf, seven open letter compartments and six small drawers with wrought bronze knobs. Base with four drawers, bronze handles and flush escutcheons, and bracket feet. England, mid-19th century.

Northern France, Second Half XIX Century

Elm burl secretaire. Base with three drawers plus one in the molding, surmounted by a drop-leaf door concealing a bois de rose cabinet, with an open compartment and a group of six drawers and two secret compartments. Leather insert on the inside of the drop-leaf, upper drawer in the band under the top, black marble top. Oak interior, plinth legs. Northern France, second half of the 19th century.

Austria, Mid XIX Century

Biedermeier secrétaire in walnut burl. Three-drawer base, surmounted by a drop-down door concealing a walnut and maple cabinet. It comprises an open central compartment with a pair of turned columns, a projecting drawer below, four plus four side drawers, and a three-part upper drawer with a projecting central section. Fabric insert on the interior shelf. Marble top with a drawer below, bracket feet, and fir interior. Minor losses. Austria, mid-19th century.

Genoa, Mid XVIII Century

Walnut drop-leaf chest. Three-drawer front, the first of which is in the band under the top. Drop-leaf door conceals an internal cabinet with six drawers and open compartments. Bois de rose trim along the entire surface. Some losses. Genoa, mid-18th century.

Veneto, Early XX Century

A late Baroque-style walnut veneered chest of drawers. The front features curved sides, a base with three drawers and a drop-down door concealing an internal cabinet with four drawers and a central door. The upper part features a pair of small drawers surmounted by mirrored doors engraved with a lady and knight, and adjustable shelves inside. Fir interior. Veneto, early 20th century.

Empire-style secretaire, walnut veneer. Floral and leafy maple inlays throughout, three drawer fronts surmounted by a drop-down door concealing an open compartment. Turned and ebonized half-columns, a projecting drawer in the under-counter band, and truncated pyramidal feet. Italy, 20th century.

A mid-18th century Baroque drop-leaf chest of drawers. Made of fir and poplar and clad in walnut with large burl veneer inserts. Curved at the front and supported by curved feet, it features two drawers and a drop-leaf door containing a cabinet with four smaller drawers and an open compartment concealing a secret. The back has been replaced, but the locks are original.

Piedmont, XVIII Century

Baroque walnut chest of drawers, maple fillets and inlays, and olive wood frames throughout. Two-drawer front, drop-leaf top concealing a four-drawer cabinet and an open central compartment, forty-five-degree uprights, and bracket feet. Gilded bronze pendants and escutcheons, missing lower drawer lock. Piedmont, 18th century.

Emilia, 18th Century

Walnut and walnut burl trumeau with cherry trim. Three-drawer front with a pronounced leaf spring mechanism, bracket feet, a flap concealing three drawers, three open compartments, and a secret compartment accessible from a foldaway top. Fir and poplar interior. The upper part features a pair of mirrored doors, added in the 20th century. Emilia, 18th century.

Trentino Mid XIX Century

Walnut drop-leaf, maple and walnut fillets along the entire surface. Front with three drawers, central tripartite drop-leaf top, concealing two drawers and open compartments, flanked by a pair of drawers and secret compartments. Bracket feet, bronze knobs and escutcheons, fir interiors. Trentino, mid-19th century.

Directoire period walnut secretary, truncated pyramidal feet, two doors at the base surmounted by a drop-leaf door concealing a cabinet composed of an open compartment and nine drawers; drawer in the band under the top. Missing parts and replacements.

Italy, Early XIX Century

Empire secretaire made in Milan in the early 19th century in walnut veneered in mahogany and mahogany feather; on the front three drawers in the base body and in the upper part a flap door with a thin drawer under the top, contained between two pilasters with gilded bronze feet at the base and a female protome at the capital; the door with a mechanism with counterweights that accompanies the movement has a cabinet composed of open letter holders and six small drawers with a finely chiseled and gilded lion-shaped handle, all hiding complex and numerous secret compartments. Finely chiseled and gilded gilded bronze escutcheons. The bronzes are of a quality that in Milan can be attributed to the Manfredini brothers. Square plinth feet.

England, Late XIX Century

Elegant English Victorian trumeau in the George III model. In the base two doors and a compartment with a cabinet accessible thanks to a sliding door in maple, which shows off drawers and open compartments, sliding top covered in Moroccan; in the upper part two glass doors inserted in a wooden grid, with adjustable shelves; wavy cymatium with curls and inlaid with a classic Greek key and central rosette. The entire surface is veneered in citronnier with mahogany borders, fillets and inlays made of maple, mahogany and ebony.
