The harvest

Aubusson tapestry, 'Grape harvest', 19th Century. Fine-stitch embroidery. On the back there is a cataloging label, attributing it to the French Royal Aubusson school, with title and technical characteristics. In the bucolic scene, a young man picks grapes and passes them to two girls who put them in the vat. The tapestry needs restoration, as it has horizontal tears throughout its width.

Of children games in Rome

A watercolor on paper by Clelia Bompiani Battaglia (1847-1927). The three characters, two young girls and a boy are depicted at the feet of the Spanish steps in Rome. A young girl is playing with pebbles while the other two are watching. The painter, daughter of the painter Roberto Battaglia was student of her father at Accademia di San Luca in Rome. She always preferred using watercolors depicting especially genre scenes of popular life set in cities or in the Roman countryside. Her paintings were appreciated also abroad. 19th century.

Tempera on board. A series of temples adorned with classical statues in a hilly setting. The canvas has a small rip in the middle and color losses. Gilded revival frame. 19th century.

Portrait of a Military Family Oil on Canvas 1843

Oil on canvas. Signed Carlo Du Chaliot and dated 1843 in the lower right corner. The scene underlines the gallant gesture of the officer who is pointing at his wife as to put her in the spotlight. Two children and his African servant are looking at him, depicted in his traditional suit with the scimitar. It is presented in frame. 1843.

Marco RABIE (Mantua after 1815-1855)

Mixed media on paper. Signed lower right. The small painting, rich in characters and details, is nicely composed using the bow as fifth on the Church in the background look architectural, centering with a feature in progress. Marco Rabie was especially known for its historic frescoes, but are also known his paintings of small size. The work is presented in late 880 Golden frame.

Oil on canvas. Restored and ritelato, is presented in contemporary frame, with deficiencies.

The return

In the scene, a woman embraces happy their Lord, upon returning from a trip to the sea. Presented in the frame of mid ' 800.

The robbers and their booty
